100th Day of School

We were so excited to finally celebrate our 100th Day of School!
It is always a big deal in Kindergarten and we have been keeping track of the count since the first day of school. The children were so excited when they walked through the doors to be greeted by a much “older” looking Mrs. Silverstein and to show off their 100 year old self. We started our morning by wearing our 100th day crowns and then eagerly began our busy and fun filled day. Here are some activities we participated in to celebrate this special day and  also helped us “explore” the number 100:

*We counted to 100 by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s and practiced our tally marks to 100.

*We made portraits of ourselves at 100 years old

*We made gumball machines with 100 gumballs

*We built wonderful creations using 100 Legos.

To wind down at the end of the day, the children enjoyed their afternoon snack as they listened to me read Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the 100th Day of Kindergarten. They truly enjoyed celebrating being 100 days smarter!
